Real case 3, local traveltime tomography in Turkey

TomoATT_path/examples/realcase3_regional_tomography_Turkey provides a real-data example to demonstrate how to use TomoATT to invert absolute traveltime and common-source differential arrival times for P-wave velocity and azimuthal anisotropy beneath the Eastern Anatolian Fault. This examples aims to reproduce the inversion process in our paper Chen et al., 2026

Before running the example, make sure that TomoATT has been successfully installed, and the executable file TOMOATT is correctly identified. Users can directly run this example simply by

./run_this_example.sh

This real-data example includes 152,254 absolute traveltimes and 81,812 differential arrival times from 20,529 earthquakes recorded by 92 stations within a study region spanning 600 km by 300 km by 60 km.
Approximately 6 hours are required to finish the entire inversion process by using 8 processors powered by AMD EPYC 7713 64-Core Processor of 2.0 GHz.

Here we will demonstrate how to run this example step-by-step.
